HatBabe started off as random artwork, and we then had to figure out a way to work her into the strip. While she was probably fit into the "stereotype" concept less than any of the other characters that were introduced, she also ended up having a lot more personality. HatBabe was just fun to use in the strip, and probably appeared more than any other second-tier character. She was gradually working toward becoming a third lead when the strip ended, proving that a woman can make it in a man's comic-strip world.
