The bar, as a new set of artwork, was intended to serve as a new fall-back setting for the strip, and to that end, it worked perfectly. One of those few times you come with an idea intending to use it as a running element, and actually do find yourself coming back to it on a regular basis.

That said, however, it's not really clear whether it's always the same bar it is in this strip.
