After we had drawn this one, turned it in, and gone home, we got a call from the then-editor of the DM, Anna DeMarco, asking us what we thought we were doing. She refused to publish the strip, and made us come back in and draw a new one. Best we could gather from her explanation, this one just kind of hit too close to home (she couldn't really explain how it differed from other strips we had done to this point, other than the group involved). She later explained that it would be her policy as editor to censor anything she personally found offensive, which is kind of interesting policy, in our minds. The ironic thing is, a Catholic friend showed it to the local priest, who thought it was funny and kept a copy of it.
